Could I put the humidifier on the floor or a wooden table?
Best place to put a humidifier is 2-4 feet above the floor where the most airflow is. It is recommended to put a tray underneath the humidifier, if you place it on a non-waterproof surface, the locally high humidity levels may wet the surroundings.
Can I use tap water or is distilled water preferred?
It depends on where you live. In some areas, water is richer in minerals. The humidifier won’t instantly go haywire if you do use tap water, but in the long term will cause scale and you need to maintain it more often. Distilled water is recommended.
Why can not fill water exceed the Max Line?

Why the humidifier seems to have little or no mist come out even on the high mist setting?
